+ GIANFRANCO (JOHN) LUCCHETTA September 20, 1980 May 21, 2006 God saw you getting tired When a cure was not to be So He closed His arms around you And whispered "Come to Me" You do not deserve What you went through And so He gave you rest. God's garden must be beautiful For He only takes the best. In time we saw you sinking, We watched you fade away. Our hearts were almost broken, You fought so hard to stay. But when we saw you sleeping So peacefully from pain, We could not wish you back To suffer that again. If you had spoken before you died These are the words you'd have replied. "Weep not for me but courage take And love one another for my sake."

Now pain of his leaving percolates so silently The only, only comfort to be found Is that he left us for a better place He was called and so he did respond And we will never know or understand. Why God beckons His favourite flowers so soon To His eternal garden In only that we find a measure of solace And no where else. Dino Bottero |

Whatever we were to each other, that we are still. Call me by my old familiar name; speak to me in the easy way which you always used; put no difference in your tone; wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow; laugh, as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together; pray, smile, think of me, pray for me; let my name be ever the household word that it always was; let it be spoken without effect, without the trace of a shadow on it. Life means all that it ever meant; it is the same as it ever was; there is unbroken continuity. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? I am waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near -- Just around the corner. All is well." Henry Scott Holland Canon of St Paul's, London 1847 - 1918 WHEN A LOVED ONE'S GONE Those we love remain with us, for love itself lives on. And cherished memories never fade because a loved one’s gone. Those we love can never be more than a thought apart. For as long as there is memory they’ll live on in the heart. Anonymous REMEMBER ME To the living, I am gone. To the sorrowful, I will never return. To the angry, I was cheated. To the happy, I am at peace. To the faithful, I have never left. I cannot speak, but I can listen. I cannot be seen but I can be heard. So as you look in awe at a mighty forest and its grand majesty, Remember me. Remember me in your heart, your thoughts, and your memories. Of the times we cried, the times we fought, and the times we laughed. For if you always think of me, I will never have gone. ~Anon WE REMEMBER THEM
At the rising of the sun and its going down, we remember them.
At the blowing of the wind and in the chill of winter, we remember them.
At the opening of the buds and in the rebirth of spring, we remember them.
At the blueness of the skies and in the warmth of summer, we remember them.
At the rustling of the leaves and in the beauty of autumn, we remember them.
At the beginning of the year and when it ends, we remember them.
As long as we live, they too will live; for they are now a part of us, as we remember them.
When we are weary and in need of strength, we remember them.
When we are lost and sick at heart, we remember them.
When we have joy we crave to share, we remember them.
When we have decisions that are difficult to make, we remember them.
When we have achievements that are based on theirs, we remember them.
As long as we live, they, too, will live; for they are now a part of us, as we remember them. Anonymous BROKEN CHAIN
We knew little that morning, God was going to call your name, in life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone, for part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us beautiful memories, your love is still our guide, and though we cannot see you, you're always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again. Author Unknown
